The flames of the cauldron at the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony. Awesome! At the end of the games, each nation will take home one of these petals as a sign of friendship.
"A traveller with a camera!" I was born in Tanzania but have lived here in the United Kingdom since the age of two. I've always liked science and engineering so, after graduating, I took up a career in telecommunications and datacoms, with an emphasis in systems engineering and assurance. I have various interests in programming, photography, and pedalling furiously on my mountain bike! I also enjoy travelling off the beaten path, seeing the natural world, and meeting different peoples in their varied cultures. I created this the main website site many years ago and it has undergone significant changes over that time. However, it continues in its main role as a collection of my travel photos, and of other miscellaneous images such as digital paintings. I've also added this blog which allows me to rant and rave, mainly about absurdity and irrationality, but can include articles on almost any topic ranging from mountain biking equipment to colour management workflows. Perhaps there's something here that might interest you! View all posts by Kulvinder Matharu
