I've made three trips to Malaysia. These were in August 2008, in March 2008, and in 1992.
Malaysia Trip – August 2008
This most recent of trips to Malaysia in August 2008 encompassed some adventure caving (intermediate level) and forest walks around the Mulu Caves in Sarawak (Borneo), plus trips around Kuala Lumpur, Cameron Highlands, with jet-skiing swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving and parasailing on the islands of Penang and Langkawi.
Borneo Orangutan Adventure – March 2008
A charity-based adventure trip organised by "Sepilok Orangutan Appeal UK" who work with the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in the Sabah district of Malaysian Borneo. The trip had elements of white-water rafting, cycling, trekking, crossing rivers waist-deep, swimming, river cruises, village stays, evening fun (karaoke!) and, of course, seeing wildlife. I was pretty much mosquito and leech food but it was a small sacrifice. The adventure was damn good fun, educational and for a good cause too! Other details are at my pre-trip blog.
Jahore Bahru – 1992
