Mt Sinai

Me on top of Mt Sinai, Egypt. Started the climb from St Catherine's Monastery at 3am and got to the top at 5:30am...to see the sunrise of course - shame it was cloudy!

Tips -

• Take winter clothing and make sure you have layers - it gets very warm on the way down...

• Take food.

• If possible, climb during the day and then "camp" at the top overnight to see the sunrise.

• If climbing at night, make sure you have a good flashlight!

• For the less able people - camels are available along the route to take you most of the way up but the higher up (and more tired) you are the more expensive the camels!
