Dragon Boat Race

The yearly Dragon Boat Races occur in various locations around Hong Kong in late May or early June. The above is a photo of one of these races in Aberdeen on Hong Kong Island on 1st June 1998. Great crowds, a feeling of joy, flags twirling in the air, the beating of drums, the splash of oar against water, the cheering of crowds and the Dragon Boats scything their way through the water.
