Racer Cave

A chamber in Racer Cave, an intermediate-level adventure cave, one of the many caves in Mulu Park, Sarawak, Borneo, Malaysia.

This cave is named after Racer snakes of which we saw a few. Lovely! And apart from the odd bat or two, the creatures that I noticed the most were large hand-sized spiders and the reflections from their eyes was most eerie!

Had to be careful here when I was changing lenses on my camera as large amounts of dust were generated and hung in the air when various rock formations were disturbed. We didn't explore much further than this chamber and we had a welcoming rest-stop here before turning back.

Racer Cave certainly gave me a thirst to try further adventure caving!
