Water puppets at the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre in Hanoi, Vietnam. Although really meant for children, the shows appeal to all generations. If you're in Hanoi then don't miss this highlight!

The shows last about an hour with approx 15 short stories (or skits). It's useful to have an understanding of the stories (eg through a programme) when watching the shows.

Water puppetry is unique to northern Vietnam and centred around Hanoi. It has been developed over several centuries and started of as temporary shows in villages.
